Employee Tasks and Notes
Administrators and care staff at assisted living communities may often need to assign tasks or leave notes for each other, unrelated to the residents. For example, they may need to assign tasks related to the upkeep or management of the facility itself or related to staffing issues such as payroll. The Carevium Tasks to Do and Notes Module manages these non-resident related activity tasks and notes.
How do assisted living staff use the Tasks & Notes module?
Any staff member that logs in will have a red alert button with a number on the home page if there are overdue tasks that are assigned to them or a yellow button showing the number of tasks that are due for the current day. The staff member with assigned tasks or notes can view their tasks or notes in the module, update their status, change their due date, or re-assign the tasks to other staff if needed.
Alternately, the software can be configured so that all staff members in a particular department can get alerts and view all tasks and notes for any assigned member in that department. Or else, the system can also be set up so every staff member in a facility sees all tasks and notes for any assigned staff member in the entire facility. The type of configuration will be decided during initial account implementation with the Carevium team.
How is the Tasks & Notes Calendar used?
The Tasks and Notes can also be viewed and managed using the Calendar feature in the module. This allows the tasks and notes to be viewed in Day, Week, or Month mode. The calendar is color-coded so the tasks can be differentiated based on status. Clicking on the task or note on the calendar brings a pop-up window where the task description itself, status, due date, or assigned staff can be updated if needed.
How can Tasks & Notes be filtered?
Tasks to do and Notes can also be filtered using numerous filters. These include the name of the facility (if there are multiple facilities on an account), the department, staff name, time period, and status of the task or note. The filter also provides separation of the tasks from the notes that are assigned to a person or department group.
What is the advantage of using Tasks & Notes module?
Using this Carevium Tasks and Notes module eliminates the need for pin-up boards and post-it notes as staff can very conveniently assign activities or leave notes for each other. Facility activities such as housekeeping or food preparation can be assigned to staff using this module. Administrators can also assign staff to pick up paychecks, update their work schedule, or do other staff management activities using this module.
