Resident Appointments Management
Residents living in assisted living communities and care homes have appointments for many things ranging from hospital or medical visits to family visits, field trips, or salon visits. All these appointments must be coordinated and managed by the assisted living administrative and care coordination staff as efficiently as possible. This is where the Appointments Management module of the Carevium Resident Care Management system comes to play.
How are Appointments scheduled?
In each resident’s management portfolio of options in the software, there is an Appointments module. In this module, administrators, admin staff, or caregiving staff can categorize and schedule appointments. They can also add any useful descriptive information related to the appointment that the staff should see.
How are Appointments updated?
The number of appointments due for today will show in a yellow bubble while the number of appointments past due will show in a red bubble. Status can be easily updated by editing the listed appointments in the Appointments History or by using the Appointments Calendar. Scheduled appointments can be changed to In Progress, Cancelled, or Completed as appropriate.
What is the Appointments Calendar?
The Appointments calendar is a simple way to visualize all the appointments that a resident has for a day, week, or month. Appointment information can be edited and updated directly from the calendar also. Color-coding helps denote which appointments on the calendar are past due, due today, completed, cancelled, or scheduled for the future.
Can reminder alerts be set for Appointments?
Staff may also find it useful to set alerts through the Carevium system before appointments so that they can leave themselves enough time to get a resident ready. Management may want to set alerts for appointments that are missed or severely delayed. Transportation can also be scheduled ahead of time if knowing when an appointment is expected.
What is the advantage of using the Carevium Appointments feature?
Getting residents to all their medical, beauty shop, legal, family, or other types of appointments is an important management activity of any assisted living community. Using the Carevium Resident Care Management system to manage appointments can greatly simplify this process. Delayed or missed appointments can be avoided and resident and family satisfaction will most likely increase greatly!
